Laser Cutting Capabilities & Quality Standards
24 Gauge Foil to 1.0" Heavy Plate on 5'×10' Beds
6,000W IPG CNC fiber lasers paired with dual-source CO2 systems process carbon steel up to 1.0", stainless up to 0.75", aluminum up to 0.50", brass, copper, titanium, and cast acrylic with ±0.002" (50 microns) repeatability.
Burr-Free Edges Ready for Welding & Powder Coating
High-pressure Nitrogen (N2) assist gas prevents carbon/oxide scale on stainless and aluminum edges—allowing parts to move directly to 200-ton press brake bending or welding without secondary grinding.
1-Off Rapid Prototypes to 100,000+ OEM Runs
Direct online DXF, STEP, DWG, and PDF uploading with dynamic CAD nesting, 24–48h rush turnaround, Blanket POs, and EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Reports.

Frequently Asked Technical Questions
Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ) for laser cutting?
No. Lumicision has No Minimum Order Quantity (No MOQs). We manufacture everything from a single 1-off prototype for an R&D engineer, designer, or startup to recurring 100,000+ piece production runs for automotive and aerospace OEMs.
How do I submit my CAD files for laser cutting?
You can upload your 2D and 3D design files directly through our online RFQ portal at lumicision.com/contact/#rfq-form. We natively accept DXF, DWG, STEP, STP, IGES, AI, SVG, and PDF drawings, with engineering quotes returned in 24 to 48 hours.
Can Lumicision laser cut non-metal materials like acrylic, wood, and custom signage?
Yes. Our facility operates dual Fiber (1064nm) and high-power CO2 (10.6 um) laser fleets, allowing us to cleanly cut flame-polished cast acrylic (PMMA), hardwoods, plywood, MDF, Delrin, and polycarbonate for 3D commercial signage, retail displays, and architectural screens.
What is the maximum plate thickness Lumicision can laser cut?
Our 6kW IPG CNC fiber laser and dual-source CO2 systems (5'x10' bed) can cleanly cut up to 1.0 inch (25.4 mm) in carbon steel, 0.75 inch (19 mm) in stainless steel, 0.50 inch (12.7 mm) in aluminum, and up to 1.0 inch in cast acrylic and engineering plastics.
Can you provide rush turnaround for emergency or R&D prototype parts?
Yes. With extensive in-stock sheet inventory and rapid CAD file processing, we offer expedited 24 to 48-hour turnarounds for prototyping and mission-critical production runs throughout Toronto and the GTA.
Engineer-Reviewed Fast-Track RFQ
Unlike automated black-box algorithms that reject complex tolerances or overcharge for simple bends, every file uploaded to Lumicision is reviewed by a senior fabrication engineer—with a 24 to 48-hour guaranteed quote response time.
